Adam Smith leads ICA’s Wisconsin and Vermont operations, overseeing special projects and initiatives for each state. In this role Adam advocates for the expanded use of HMIS to inform data-driven decision-making. Adam has been working in the field of homelessness since the late 1990s and has been the Wisconsin HMIS Director since 2006. A nationally recognized expert in the field, Adam's focus on people instead of profit has motivated him to work in the non-profit and service arena.
Adam dedicates a lot of his time to ICA and our clients, but when he has some down time he enjoys reading, particularly historical non-fiction. Adam is also an avid bicyclist and traveler and spends as much time in the mountains as time allows. One thing that makes Adam a perfect fit for ICA is that he has a deep respect and appreciation of people that persevere in difficult times and show no fear in the face of adversity.
